
Watermelon Maca Guava Smoothie

Maca root, used powder form for this recipe, is a Peruvian herb indigenous to the Andes mountains. It is believed to have all kinds of medicinal qualities, and is also used as a food.

FRUIT AND PUREES INGREDIENT HELP
INGREDIENTS
4 cups cubed watermelon
6 tablespoons Maca powder
4 Guavas; 3 skinned and chopped, 1 sliced
1 kiwi, sliced
1 rambutan, sliced
3 frozen or fresh raspberries
1 teaspoon bee pollen
1 teaspoon chia seeds
Sprigs of mint
Edible flowers, pesticide free
INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a food processor fitted with a steel blade, or in a blender, blend the watermelon, Maca powder, 3 chopped guava.
2. Place into serving bowl and freeze for 15 - 20 until firm.
3. Remove bowl from the freezer and arrange sliced, guava, kiwi, rambutan, and raspberries as desired.
4. Top with bee pollan, chia seeds, mint and edible flowers.
SERVE
Serve cold.
STORAGE
Store in the refrigerator dor a day or two.
