This simple syrup is easy to make and a great way to flavor desserts and baked goods. We use it to add a delicious dose of coffee flavor to the Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Latte Dessert Tacos!
CANDY RECIPE HELP
Be careful not to make the coffee overly strong, otherwise the resulting syrup will become bitter.
3/4 cup strong freshly brewed coffee
3/4 cup sugar
1. Add the coffee and sugar to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
2. When mixture reaches a boil, lower the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes.
3. Cool the mixture over a bath of ice water, then transfer the mixture to a squeeze bottle.
Use immediately or refrigerate indefinitely in a covered container until needed.
